Last saturday evening we don't know where to eat dinner. Eventually we end up at our favorite japanese restaurant ICHIBAN sushi. This is one of the better conveyor-belt sushi chain around. Sushi sets are good, price are reasonable, they serve big portion and the service is satisfactory.

Things I want to remember about my daughter Marielle

I love this One...

1. The smile on my daughter's face when she is really happy. Her face brightens up with such joy, I wish I could capture that moment forever.

2. I love the way she looks up at me and tells me, "Mommy, you are beautiful!" "Pretty tayo mommy". It is always in my heart.

3. I want to remember the little things she do. The many kidisms she say and do that I am sure I will try to remember all.

Every moment with my daughter are the moments I want to remember. She is the sunlight that brighten ups my day!

This caught my eye

After sending my daughter to school, I went to the supermarket to buy some stuff. And I saw this beautiful orchid flower gave me a warm welcome. So i took a picture as a souvenir. Because I don't have this at home and I don't have a chance to see this again.

1. I am the second child in our family. Smart among the siblings like my mother and like her, I'm mataray and masungit.

2. I love to travel, go shopping and watching movie with my family.

3. I am not a good listener but willing to give a piece of advice.

4. I love to eat and I can't resist great foods(especially chocolates).

5. I took up Computer Science course during college but I never got a chance to practice it.

6. I'm a Jack-of-all-trade but Master-of-none. I know a little bit of painting, drawing, singing, dancing, cooking, baking, swimming, etc...

7. I'm a bit shy and it takes extra effort for me to approach and befriend new faces and start a conversation but now I'm improving since I have a "coach" (my hubby).

Today's Morning Snapshot

I spent about 30 minutes of walking through the park this morning and I was overwhelmed with the feeling that the Gates brought to the area. People were out walking today, listening to the *snap* of the breeze. As I walked the walk (hehe) I found myself in need of relief from the thing, rather that yearning another view. And I saw a bunch of flowers were greeting me nicely.
So here's my morning snapshot. I wasn't going for anything great here, just curious to see the quality level settings with this camera.

Laugh Of The Day... Girl Thing! Wanted Housemate

Hay nakoh! gusto ko lang magpost ng entry ko ngayon about laughing trip. So funny to think na yung isang housemate namin dito meron daw way ng pagkilatis ng tao, kwento lang naman ni hubby. hahaha hindi ko talaga mapigilan ang pagtawa ko kasi sobrang nakakatawa talaga. Though napakababaw at walang kwenta pero natawa talaga ako. I've known this girl for almost a year now, i guess! "duh!" Kwento kasi ni hubby nung time daw na naghahanap pa sila ng isa pang housemate may 3 na silang pinagpipilian (2 boys and 1 girl). Kailangan daw ay malinis sa bahay, take note MALINIS! hahaha nagpapatawa ba si girl?

Kilatis for the Housemate contestant 1(boy 1) - kakaiba daw basta mahirap i-explain sabi ni hubbby.
Kilatis for the Housemate contestant 2(boy 2) - kakaiba rin daw lalo na the way na makipagusap o makipag deal.
Kilatis for the Housemate contestant 3(only girl) - sabi nila eto daw baka sakaling malinis sa bahay kasi girl nga.

But, in the winner is? Who? (base on my Hubby's decision, kasi pinaubaya na ni housemate girl kay hubby) Ang nagwagi ay si Housemate contestant 2 (boy 2), which is malinis nga sya sa bahay kahit na isa syang boy, lagi rin naman kasi wala sa bahay, tahimik na tao na kala mo bang wala lang ... hehehe

Anyway, hindi naman talaga yung applicant ang tinatawanan ko eh kundi yung housemate talaga namin na girl. Sino ba naman kasi ang hindi matatawa sa pinaggagawa nya may pakilatis- kilatis pa syang nalalaman e no.1 naman pala syang hindi malinis sa bahay, as in burara talaga. Hay nakoh! Kung kayo nasa lugar ko matatawa kana lang talaga sa mga strategy nya. Kakaiba talaga sya. Grabe!

And thanks to my hubby for making may day happy. hahahaha

Not all girls ay malinis sa bahay. Hindi makikita sa panlabas na anyo ng isang babae kung mabuti ba sya o masama. Hindi rin sa pananamit o ganda ng muka at katawan. Kundi sa loob ng bahay. Subukan nyo para malaman nyo yung totoo.

My Adventure Of Being A Mother To My Daughter Marielle

Motherhood is an adventure. Definitely it’s been an exciting one, filled with new discoveries. Sometimes like a roller coaster ride, there will be ups and downs. Ups can be anything from a simple smile to a developmental milestone, first witnessed by me. When downs happen, I remind myself that no mum is a natural. We learn as we go along.

In my phiIosophy of mothering, I believe in talking to her often and explaining things to her. And to keep myself from going crazy from the stresses of motherhood, I mean I'm still stressed up! No, just kidding. It's important to relax and spend time away from your child, but the only way I could have peace of mind when I’m away from her, is to find someone I totally trust to take care of her.

Increasingly, people have been telling me she looks like her dad. So, I think she takes after her daddy: She used to resemble me. I think that goes for her personality too. She has her father's stubbornness. I'm the cautious type. I think before I leap. And I hope that she would not inherit from me or my husband, Our temper!

I totally agree that motherhood pushes your limits and challenges you to be a better person that you were before. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised with the changes I've seen in myself, some were changes I never expected, like my patience. And I think this adventure will never end. Because I think it's going to get better and easier…with the second, third and fourth one. I believe that at every stage of a child's life, there will be new challenges and new learning opportunities for a parent, but since it’s so exciting and enjoyable, I’m not complaining!

Could someone tell me what kind of flower/plant is this? cause i don't know what is it. i saw this during the last time we went to park for a picnic. actually it is hanging from a tree and i find it cute that it caught my eye, so i took a picture.

Cloud Watching

The weather is going to turn again and I can see beautiful patchy clouds in the sky. The sun is partially covered by the clouds. That's what I am looking for and possibly a dramatic setting of the Sun itself. Sun breaking through clouds after rain.

BBQ Party

Here’s a quick recap of what happen last saturday.

We are invited to a BBQ party at Simei area, which we really like to attend. One of my husband's officemate (Zuhadibz, Adi for short) planned the event that was held near the swimming pool of his condo. He even bought all the needed stuffs for the party. But before heading to his place, we went first to Tampines Mall to stroll around. We haven't been there for a while and still have ample time before the gathering. We also need to pay some bills.

At the BBQ place:
The BBQ pit was near the pool. Parang ang sarap magswimming while bbq-ing.







We have foods like marinated lamb, chicken satay, chicken cocktail hotdog/chicken hotdog, marinated squid, chicken wings, soft shell crab, sweet potato wrap in a foil and a lot more.

At the BBQ pit, the early comers does not seem to know what they are doing haha... ^_^ I started to get hungry so I decided that I should light up the fire for the BBQ. Wala pa ring baga for almost an hour and paubos na yung fire-starter-something na sinisindihan, wala pa ring nangyayari. Pano naman kasi yung charcoal na ginamit kakaiba, good thing na lang merong ordinary uling sa baba ng pit hehe. We managed to start the fire this time...so, the foods are ready and laid out, drinks and glasses ready.

The party is now in full swing. BBQ is burning. Great food with juicy steaks, finger sucking chicken wings, sausages, BBQ sweet potato, grilled squids and more.











Here are some candid shots taken which I have to immodestly say (Marielle was in the line with these folks) great and really show the character of the people behind the BBQ.

So, that's how the BBQ party went...
