Bed Sheets

After drying sheets, put both sheets and one pillowcase in the other
pillow case. Fold neatly in a square. Next time you change sheets, you
just take the one pillow case and all the sheets and pillow case are
inside. No need to look for matches.

Reheat Pizza

Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of
the stove, set! heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust
crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it
really works.

Reheating refrigerated bread

To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins
that were refrigerated,place them in a microwave with a cup of water.
The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat
faster.

Broken Glass

Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken pieces of
glass - the fibers catch ones you can't see!

Easier thank you's

When you throw a bridal/baby shower, buy a pack of
thank you cards for the guest of honor. During the party, pass out the
envelopes and have everyone put their address on one. When the
bride/new mother sends the thank you's, they're all addressed!

Name tag

If you purchase a new bike for your child, place their
picture inside the handle bar before placing the grips on. If the bike
is stolen and later recovered, remove the grip and there is your proof

Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with
the eraser! Works better than a cloth!

Ropening envelope

If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot
to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the
freezer for an hour or two. Voila! It unseals easily.

Conditioner

Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's a lot

also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like

Good-bye Fruit Flies

To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small
glass fill it 1/2 with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dishwashing
liquid, mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone
forever!

Get Rid of Ants

Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. ! They
eat it, take it 'home,' & can't digest it so it kill s them. It may take
a week or so, ep. if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry
about pets or small children being harmed!

** Take baby powder to the beach Keep a small bottle of baby powder in
your beach bag. When you're ready to leave the beach sprinkle yourself
and kids with the powder and the sand will slide right off your skin.

Hello everyone...

First thing first I'm sorry to all of the visitors of my blog in the past few days for not visiting you all in return. During of my absence in blogging and blog hopping I've been busy playing nurse to my sick daughter because she has had a cough and cold for the past weeks as was I. That's why I've been too lazy to blog and too busy at home. You know! As a mom I'm not complaining about having to take care of my sick daughter, because taking care of my daughter/family is something that I love to do. But it's nice to be back!!! I missed blogging and visiting all my friends blog. Today we're definitely okay now my daughter already back to school and I feel good. Thanks to my loving husband for taking care of me while I'm sick he's the reason why I feel better now.

BUTTERFLY

I got this from my online buddy Fleurific.

”One day, a small opening appeared in a cocoon; a man sat and watched for the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.

Then, it seems to stop making any progress.

It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could not go any further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily.

But it had a withered body, it was tiny and shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would open, enlarge and expand, to be able to support the butterfly’s body, and become firm.

Neither happened!
In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and his goodwill did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.

Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life.

If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Never been able to fly.

and God gave me problems to solve.

and God gave me a brain and brawn to work.

Walk for a cause

Alzheimer's disease is a quite known disease that normally affects people who are over 65 years old. Eventhough a lot of people are affected, some are still unaware of the symptoms, prevention and how to manage this disease. There are several government and private agencies that focus on educating the population about Alzheimer's disease.



Take the Alzheimer's Association as an example. It is one of the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research. Currently, they have organized an event called Alzheimer's Memory Walk. The event is the largest in US which raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer patient's care and support as well as for research. They are looking for volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight for Alzheimer. Normally done during weekends, the Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held in the morning in the fall season.

So let me invite you to join with Alzheimer's Association event. Walk for a cause and let this be the start of the future without Alzheimer's.

Bowling

After watching the Dark Knight at Kallang Leisure Park last Saturday, we played a couple of games in the bowling alley. It was Marielle's 1st time playing bowling and she was so excited. Our lane had these bumpers that will go up during her turn. We had lots of fun and will definitely play there again.

What is LASIK?

Plans for today (Saturday)

Yahoo! It's weekend again. Time for relaxation and rest after a week of housework (for me), school (for Marielle) and office work (for my hubby). Normally we always plan something to do for the weekend. These past two week we have been to Singapore Flyer and the Singapore Zoo and we have a great time.

For today, my hubby insisted that he wants to watch The Dark Knight so we booked tickets for a 1pm movie at Kallang Leisure Park. It's been a while since we went there and we also plan to play bowling afterwards.
