Worth the wait... Worth the trip

I am looking forward in spending the day with Marielle and my hubby and have a great time with them. The original plan was swimming pero umulan kanina and late na rin kami nagising (around 10am). So we ended up going to East coast Park na talaga... whatever the weather tuloy pa rin ang lakad. We never been there before kahit na tagal na kmi dito hehe :D

East Coast Parkway: it is a free admission park which also serves as a hangout for the families on the weekends. "Nice family outing". The scenery looks great, can do cycling around the park and other activities like roller blading, chill out with friends by the beach, swimming or just simply get wet... families make barbecues under the trees while the kids swim at the beach, into yellow-green water that has more seaweed than a sushi bar haha (sobra ang dami talagang naka-floating kala nga ni hubby oil) haha. There are several paths for you to do cycling, in-line skating, walking, or jogging that run the whole length of the park. You can all also find beach cafes, some sea kayak rentals, plus in-line skates and bicycle rentals as well.

We had our dinner at Long Beach. Gutom na kasi kmi so we didn't bother to find the hawker center. We order a set meal for two which comprise of fried butter crab, prawns, lemon chicken, seafood rice and black beans with ice cream as desserts. Even though if was kind of expensive for our wallet, we believe it was worth the price. And my hubby said it was treat for several occasions, namely: his 1 year anniversary living in Singapore (Oct 15), our 2nd monthaversary (Oct 17) and finally getting our Dependent Passes (Oct 17). Sulit nga tlaga hehe :)

It was very humid that time and we went there late in the afternoon so we only rent a bike and cycle almost the whole stretch of the park. We rented 2 bikes, one with a child seat at the back. The rent was kind of cheap 13SGD for the whole day but we only spend 1 hour since we only started at 7pm. The shop closes at 8pm.

Once we used up all our strengths, we went to Changi Airport to catch a bus ride directly to our house. My hubby insisted to find a particular fast food resto there: Popeye's. He said he was craving for a Shrimp Popcorn sandwich. So we went to both terminal 1 and 2 to search for it. Eventually we end up going to the 3rd floor of Terminal 1 where we finally find the branch. Of course my hubby immediately ordered one while we were eating a banana split ice cream hehe After that, we hurried to the bus stop. Good thing we went there early because there are lots of people waiting for the bus. The trip was just quick so we arrived at our place fast.

Time to have a good night's rest. We are very tired but had a lot of fun. We'll definitely do it again. :D
